The Vice-Chancellor of ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢, Air Marshall Dr. Pawan Kapoor(Retd.) recently addressed our MD 4 international students, emphasizing the significance of hard work and dedication in pursuing a medical degree. He highlighted the ever-evolving nature of the medical field, stressing the importance of staying ahead of the latest technologies to remain relevant in the medical profession.
He further urged students to concentrate on their studies. The Vice-Chancellor also announced that a new Dean will assume office on August 1st. Until then, Dr. Stephanie Gittens, the Associate Dean, will manage academic affairs. For our Indian students, he clarified that according to the 18 November 2021 FMGL notification, they must complete their clinical sciences program at the affiliated GPHC hospital in Guyana.
The session concluded with students expressing their satisfaction and commitment to surpassing the benchmark set by their seniors. The interaction was highly appreciated, reflecting the collective aspiration for continued academic excellence at LAU.
