The Indian students at ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢, Guyana, recently attended the celebrations on the occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 118th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on 3rd October 2022
The humble event was organized by the High Commissioner of India to Guyana, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts & Nevis and CARICOM, H.E. Dr J. K. Srinivasa. The celebration was also attended by Hon. Prime Minister of Guyana, Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Anthony Phillips, who paid his heartfelt tribute on the occasion.
A skit depicting the values and memorable events from the life of Mahatma Gandhi was also conducted to once again recall the preachings of love, harmony, yoga, peace and non-violence which have inspired the world time and again.
The students of LAU met with the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister of Guyana, who wished them good luck. The entire was well spent and would surely go down in the fond memories of all the students and motivate them to conquer all their difficulties with perseverance.
